Regional Food Hubs


“Regional Food Hub” is often used to describe an organization that provides facilitating services for a regional food system — working with producers, processors, wholesalers, retailers, compost facilities, and other food related business work better in concert. Specifically, they often provide storage, marketing, and aggregate sales, allowing small growers to work together to meet demands of large purchasers who require reliable, consistant, large quantity sources of food.
