Take the Fermented Food Tour at the Farmers Market

Brief Event Description:
Humans have been fermenting foods since ancient times – both to preserve their harvest and support their health.
On Saturday, February 19th, come take a tour of the fermented food products available at the market. We’ll stop at booths to learn about kimchee, sauerkraut, and other lacto-fermented vegetables. We’ll see how vendors make sourdough bread and mead wine. Best of all, we’ll taste samples of fermented foods.
Tours leave from the entrance of the Vermont College of Fine Arts gym at 11:00 am, 12:00 pm, and 1:00 pm
