Local Food Sovereignty Campaign – Rural Vermont

Our friends at Rural Vermont are starting a campaign to promote local food sovereignty in the state.  Here’s a description of the campaign by Organizer Robb Kidd:

In order to continue the efforts toward building lively local food systems throughout Vermont, Rural Vermont has decided to begin a local food sovereignty campaign with the hopes of passing local food system revival resolutions on the next Town Meeting Day.  These resolutions will declare each communities dedication to cultivating and supporting their rural history and local food system by stating their vision to produce, process, sell, and purchase local food.  Start a food sovereignty campaign in your town today! Contact robb@ruralvermont.org or call Rural Vermont at 223-7222 for more campaign planning tools and support and begin talking to more members of your community.
